3Bubble & J.Gray are a duo hailing from Houston Texas that exceed the present hip hop style. Their sound is influenced by Hip Hop, Pop, Edm, Rap, R&B, and Soul. It’s very reminiscent to the sound of Warren G & Nate Dogg or Outkast. It’s something different from the Trap genre that is taking over now. The duo released Live From The Pentagon on May 29th 2016 and it a definite album to check out.

This 13 track album is filled with many tracks that tell vivid stories. Two of my favorite tracks are “Don’t Lie” and “Studio”. The album is filled with life lessons and also background stories which tell you more about the duo, 3Bubble & J.Gray. This album also shows the range of the duo. The track “Hands Up” is a hip hop EDM infused track that works so well with the bars that are being laid over them. But for the most part, the mood of the album is very smooth. “No Lie” is the track that reminds me most of the late Nate Dogg. You can check the video for it below:

Here’s the video for “Hands Up” too

My ultimate favorite from this album is “Easy”. I can see myself listening to this whole album on a daily basis. Certain tracks are for certain moods but for the most part, it’s pretty good. Every track had an amazing instrumental as well. The beat alone will get you hooked. It’s better than a lot of the stuff out and actually has substance. I love how it has a message and doesn’t talk about drugs and objectifying women which is the usual trend in music now. It’s just good hip hop. If you loved Nate Dogg, you will absolutely love this duo. 3Bubble & J.Gray are definitely a duo to look out for.
