New Jersey natives “The Peanut Gallery” are a new duo being introduced to the hip-hop world and its culture with their unorthodox style and their ways of expressing music. They on a mission to bring back authenticity to the rap game.  Orlando is a college and prep school graduate who enlisted in the Army and dresses like the cartoon character Arthur. The other member of this group is Flee Jones, who is  a heavily tattooed gangster from the inner city streets of New Jersey who uses music as an outlet.

At an early age, both Orlando and Flee Jones fell in love hip-hop and its roots originally influenced by the greats such as Nas, DMX, Eminem, Tupac, Big L, Diddy but well impressed by producers such as Dr. Dre, G-Unit, Dee Brown (Atlanta rapper), Shyne, the entire Bad Boy label, Jermaine Dupri (Def Jam), Ja Rule, Ludacris (Disturbing Da Peace). “The Peanut Gallery” has been working to build their own style and lane in this music industry, including events from their personal experiences and truthful messages, told either from the first-person point of view or through poetic storytelling both Orlando and Flee Jones are improving ways to be more proactive and create substance with their creativity.

The group originally had five members which they then deemed themselves Party of 5IVE. However due to differences the group ended up splitting up. Realizing that they can’t go by Party of 5ive with just two members, the group decided to rebrand themselves as “The Peanut Gallery” simply by being who they are, their music opened the doors for newer fans to bond on a deeper level.

The duo have an upcoming album called  Tales From The Basement which also has their lead single “DEEP THOUGHTS”. Check out the cover art for the album below:

The single “DEEP THOUGHTS” is the lead single off of their upcoming album. It speaks about thoughts they have that they don’t share with others. They are a very unique duo with an interesting sound. The instrumental reminds me of a score I would hear in an 80s Teen movie. The track is lead by half of the duo on steady flow. It’s definitely something to give a listen to. Check it out below:
