Vigalanty 1

Vigalanty is an artist that should be on your radar. One of the good lyricists hailing from Miami, Florida is ready for his due shine. Vigalanty has a lot of music under his belt and is perfecting his craft one song at a time. Building up his legacy, learning the music business, and having a passion and talent for rap and hip hop, it is safe to say that Vigalanty isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Check out my interview with Vigalanty below!

Tell us about yourself and your music?

Vigalanty: Well I’m from Miami, FL, – Opalocka to be exact, my family is from Turks. I’ve been writing music since I was real young; 12 years old. I’ve been serious about my music for 8-9 years now. I am a Personal Trainer in my regular 9-5 life but the truth of the matter is, no matter how cliché it may sound; I live and breathe music – it’s my passion.

My music is different, don’t get me wrong I have a few party songs out there but for the most part my music feeds your soul. It tugs at your heart because it speaks to you. People have heard my songs and have at times been speechless. They have said that it seemed as if the words were about them or that they can associate with the lyrics.

How would you describe your sound?

Vigalanty: My sound…well it’s definitely not the norm that you are used to hearing on mainstream radio. It’s mostly hip-hop but I write to and rap to Pop, EDM, Rock; I’m very versatile. I guess you’ll have to take the time to listen and let me know what you think. I’m always looking for feedback.

Talk about the experience making your song/mixtape?

Vigalanty: It was definitely an out-of-body experience making “The Rapture”. This album has a lot of personal experiences about myself, my family and friends including every form of walk of life I’ve been through. To sum it all up, it definitely was an emotional and awesome experience. This album was me basically putting myself out there; naked for lack of a better word.

What are you currently working on? Any new projects? Shows?

Vigalanty: Well currently I’m working on shooting a video for my new single called “Make It Out Alive”. This song and video is a big deal to me because of where my generation is at this point and where the new generation behind us is going. This single is about growing up in certain circumstances beyond your control and what you’re going through at this point in time in your life which does not determine your destination; yet you still have to Make it Out Alive. I don’t care if you came from an environment filled with drug dealers, prostitutes or if you come from a broken home or if you come from a home filled with turmoil; you still have to make it out alive. I’m not interested in how many copies of this single I sell. My only hope for this single is that I am able to inspire people and that it sends out the message and that the people hear the message, “that no matter what your circumstance is, you have to Make it Out Alive”. So make sure you keep your ears open for this gem.

What has been your biggest highlight in your music career this far?

Vigalanty: My biggest highlight that I’ve ever had in my music career was when my song “Reheat the Repeat” was featured on WPLG – Channel 10 News in Florida. The song was made in recognition of the Miami Heat. At the time the Miami Heat were in the finals for their second title and was placed as the 3rd best Heat song of all time…not to mentions that I was right behind Flo-Rida. I was so happy to see my interview on TV and for receiving the recognition.

Vigalanty: Name your ideal collaboration: mainstream or independent artist(s)

I would love to collaborate with Adele. She has such great talent and a beautiful voice and she’s an awesome writer. I would like to collaborate with Kanye West.

Vigalanty: Name something random that people do not know about you?

That even though I’m really into fitness, I really passionately hate long distance running. It’s more emotionally draining and mentally draining to me than anything. But the funny part about it is that I love playing basketball and football; I guess because it requires me to think what my next move would be.

What’s one thing you have learned or discovered while being in the indie music scene/industry?

Vigalanty: That it’s definitely a grind. You have to stay consistent especially when you’re starting to pick up a wave, you have to ride that wave until the end. Another thing that I have learned is that no matter how many people show up to your show you MUST kill it at all times and always give 100%. So if you’re performing at a whole in the wall or there’s only one person at the venue, you better make sure to bring it or go home.

What can we expect from you in the future?

Vigalanty: Expect great things to happen with Vigalanty and his music. I am an artist that is going to raise the bar very, very high. Let’s just say that it will be a movement.

Anything else you would like to share with our readers?

Vigalanty: I want to let the audience know that I am not a prima donna and I am very down to earth. Word on the street is that I’m a pretty cool dude. If you hit me up on social media, I will respond. I enjoy to communicate with my fans or potential fans. I do not act like a prima donna and I’m down to earth. I’ve been told that I’m a cool dude.
