Jesse Bland aka Jay Hunna hailing from Chicago, IL,  grew up listening to different kinds of music  but gets his inspiration mostly  from Hip-Hop legends such as Jay Z, Tupac, Notorious BIG and countless others.

The inspiration for his debut album “Better Days” comes from the tragic death of his cousin Sandra Bland which sparked nationwide attention in July 2015. Sandra Bland closes out the album on the track entitled “Land Of The Free”. The album will be released September 8th.

“Good music translates in all languages. It creates a feeling of happiness and joy in most people, so I just want to reach every language and give them that experience” -Jay Hunna

The single “Good Ol’ Music” has a classic hip hop infused R&B instrumental which flows nice. He raps about how music shaped him as a small child and he shouts out top rappers such as Tupac, Biggie, Scarface, Jay Z. He also raps about how rap from these type of rappers were the good type of rap. He gains his flow and style from these artists so he doesn’t compare himself to this new upcoming generation of rappers or mumble rappers as he calls them. Have a listen to it for yourself:
He also has a music video out for this single here:
