Brooklyn rapper Shotta Sho has just released Late Nights & Early Mornings Vol 2, the second installment of his Late Nights & Early Mornings series.

An eclectic hip hop album from start to finish, Shotta displays his lyrical abilities on the fifteen track project which features production from K Boogie, Biggle Beats and Shotta himself. The album offers a unique blend of sounds drawing from Shotta’s background living in both Brooklyn and Barbados.

Tell us about yourself and your music.

My name is Shotta Sho, I grew up back n forth in Brooklyn and Barbados. My music is kind of different because it’s a blend of hip hop, dancehall and soca I put together.

How would you describe your sound?

My sound is unique and something nobody has really done before. I just try to do my own thing, I usually make my own beats because so much stuff out there sounds the same.

Talk about the experience making your song/mixtape.

It was kind of a long process only because of what I was going through at the time. I caught a case right after I dropped Late Nights & Early Mornings Vol. 1 in 2015, so there was a lot going on. A lot of the songs on Late Nights & Early Mornings Vol. 2 are about what was going on at the time and now things are over it was ready.

What are you currently working on? Any new projects?

Right now I’m just shooting some videos and working on my EP, called A Minor Setback for a Major Comeback.

What has been your biggest highlight in your music career thus far?

I would say some of my biggest highlights in my career were opening up for Serena at DROM, and opening up for Juelz Santana in Brooklyn.

Name your ideal collaboration: mainstream or independent artist(s).

One person I would say I’d like to collaborate with is Popcaan.

Name something random that people do not know about you.

I would say something random that people don’t know about me is that I got my first tattoo when I was only 13 yrs old.

What’s one thing you have learned or discovered while being in the indie music scene/industry?

One thing I would say I learned its a lot about networking and getting your name known.

What can we expect from you in the future?

You can expect a lot more visuals coming and a lot more projects on the way.
