TMZ reported that prosecutors asked a judge to send Chris Brown straight to prison.
Brown showed up at a Los Angeles court for his hearing for his Washington, D.C. assault case that occurred back in October. Brown allegedly beat another man up.
The prosecutors argued with the judge, who was the same judge who appeared for Brown’s Rihanna assault case. “Brown’s violent behavior continues to increase in severity and frequency” and he poses “an increasing danger to society” said the prosecutors.
Despite that the prosecutors had sufficient evidence to say there is probable cause that Brown is guilty from the Washington, D.C. assault, the judge came to a conclusion that Brown should complete a 90-day rehab for his anger management instead of going to prison.
Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, said the “superior lawyer” had succeeded, and he and Brown will appear in court again on February 28.
