Well.. Def Jam Records is already having one helluva start to the new year. Just a day after Young Jeezy was locked up for allegedly imprisoning, assaulting and threatening his son, The-Dream made a public post today on his Instagram that he is leaving Def Jam Records.

Here is the picture he posted on his account.

The-Dream had been apart of Def Jam for about seven long years now. He calls his 2010 album LoveKing “unappreciated and unfinished” which I thought was pretty interesting. LoveKing posted The-Dreams second lowest 1st week total of 58,000 which was beat by his final album on Def Jam, IV Play which wold 28,000 copies in its opening week.
