New Lupe Album Has A Release Date

Lupe Fiasco and his label Atlantic Records are not strangers to friction between them, but it seems they have an agreement over his next album.

The label took it to Twitter and revealed that the new album Tetsuo and Youth will be out January 20, 2015.

Prior to, Lupe had said that they were not supportive of the project because they didn’t have a “pop” single. The tweet was eventually deleted.

“ATLANTIC RECORDS won’t release the album until they get a “pop” single…so putting together a mini-project while they find one for me. It’s called “Lost In The Atlantic Ocean” with a bunch of my friends to stay active and happy…this a snippet called “Lilies” feat Sirah produced by The Buchannons…finishing today…”

The Chi Town grio is expected to release the Lost In The Atlantic Ocean EP before Tetsuo and Youth. No date of release has been announced.
