As previously reported on Wednesday, an email thread that included Sony Screen Gems president Clint Culpepper writing Hart was a money-hungry “whore” hit the ‘net.
“I’m not saying he’s a whore,” wrote Culpepper in the leaked snippet that set the Twittersphere ablaze. “But he’s a whore.”
It’d been brought to everyone’s attention that Hart was asking to be additionally compensated for his “social media savvy,” a figure that went above and beyond the $3 million he was promised to do a new film.
On Thursday, Hart took to his Instagram in response:
“Knowing your self worth is extremely important people […] I OWN MY BRAND … I MAKE SMART DECISIONS FOR MY BRAND … I PROTECT MY BRAND … which is why I’m able to brush ignorance off of my shoulder and continue to move forward,” he wrote. “I refuse to be broken people … with that being said it’s now time for me to get back to building this empire that I’ve always dreamed of!!!”
See his post on the next page. The comedian’s upcoming film, The Wedding Ringer, premieres Jan. 16 via Screen Gems.
