Kendrick Lamar and the “Be Alright” Scholarship

The California rapper has inspired many people with his music, including a New Jersey high school teacher. This teacher was inspired by the song “Be Alright” off of Kendrick’s recent album To Pimp a Butterfly, to create a scholarship fund with the same name as the song. The scholarship, backed by the hip-hop and culture site Oogeewoogee.com, they were able to raise enough funds to award a student with a $1,500 scholarship.
