Rap artist Bynoe’s beginning might have been rough, but his career is now smoothly transitioning. Once in a rap group, Bynoe made dues, giving new fans a new glimpse into his music. Now as a solo rap artist, Bynoe is growing into a better artist and man. Music is and was his salvation.
In my opinion, his track, “Cash Rules” is a great starting point for new ears, that way they can get the gist of the type of artist Bynoe has become. Bynoe is hot, versatile, raw. and Keep your eyes open for the New York native.
In a recent interview with Bynoe, we talked about his artistry, highlights, lessons and upcoming plans.

Tell us about yourself and your music.

Bynoe: Well my music is honest. I write about what’s going on [and] what I been through and what my peers been through. I try and ball it all up into one and make it entertaining, but at the same time have a message.
How would you describe your sound?
Bynoe: My sound is that classic gritty NYC sound. See I fell in love with music in the 90’s, so that was the elite stage of hip hop in my opinion. See I write from more of an aggressive standpoint because of the environment I came up in, but I can do just about any genre of music.
Talk about the experience making your song/mixtape.
Bynoe: When I’m in mixtape mode, I might record 25 songs for a 12 song project. I’ll make 7 songs, then get more inspiration and make another 4-5 songs. Then put those to the side and I’ll record more, then pick out the best 10-12 songs that fits the theme. That’s an old Riot Squad formula.
What are you currently working on? Any new projects? Shows?
Bynoe: I’m currently working on this project called ‘Gold Blooded.’ I’m about 75% done. I’m super excited about it. I’m a perfectionist; so I’m not leaving no holes in it. It got to be a masterpiece. As far as shows, I have a few on the calendar. I’m in talks with a promoter from Norway. I’m excited about performing abroad.
What has been your biggest highlight in your music career this far?
Bynoe: My biggest highlight of my career is probably been involved in hit records that ruled the clubs across the country that people ain’t know I was involved in. I did a lot of ghostwriting in the early stages.
Name your ideal collaboration: mainstream or independent artist(s)
Bynoe: My ideal collaboration would have to be with Nas. As a kid, he was like the dopest rapper to me– his style was like no other.
Name something random that people do not know about you.
Bynoe: I’m a real neat freak and big on organization. I can’t even write music unless the studio is really clean and organized.
What’s one thing you have learned or discovered while being in the indie music scene/industry?
Bynoe: I noticed that this industry is big on relationships. See relationships get your further then the actual talent. Who you know will get you through. A lot of the red tape, and always remember it’s business never personal.
What can we expect from you in the future?
Bynoe: Expect nothing but some dope music and positive energy from me. The Gold Blooded project is going to put me where I need to be as an artist; it’s that good. I’m on the upcoming Chinx’s album ‘Legends Never Die’ out August 5, 2016. It’s available for preorder now. It’s a full Riot Squad song there with all 4 members me, Chinx, Stack Bundles, and Cau2Gs titled ‘All Good.’
