Hip hop has an huge impact on culture. Many walks of life are impacted by the stories told in hip hop music and that’s the beauty of it. Whether it is golden age hip hop, trap rap, or witty rap, there’s a story to tell. This goes for up and coming rap artist Luis Muzik. He has his own story to tell in his music and have high hopes for his fans and new listeners to vibe with him and appreciate the music.
Luis Muzik has a lot of plans for the rest of 2016 and it’s time to catch up with him. I did an interview with the Dayton, Ohio based rapper recently to chat about his artistry, influences, and industry lessons.
Tell us about yourself and your music.
Luis Muzik: I am a 22 year old guy originally from Chicago IL, now living in Dayton OH. I am a part time student with a full time job and making music all the time.
My music is the way that I feel about life or others. Music is a passion that I take greatly and have appreciate for. My music is a part of me which I express in my songs. My music is not what you hear these days but it’s the music of the future.
How would you describe your sound?
Luis Muzik: My sound is described as motivational with a chunk of trueness. It’s a sound that would not be forgotten and a sound that would keep ringing in your ear when the music is off.
Talk about the experience making your song/mixtape.
Luis Muzik: Making “Sound” was a point of my life where I was feeling down and sad. This song expressed how I felt at the moment of time and also since I’m a upcoming rapper I wanted to make a sound to the community and to myself.
What are you currently working on? Any new projects? Shows?
Luis Muzik: I am currently working on my new album, “Muzik in my System”.
What has been your biggest highlight in your music career this far?
Luis Muzik: Having my first show, having that experience is something you don’t forget.

Luis Muzik: G Eazy, The Weeknd, Drake, Fat Joe
Name something random that people do not know about you.
Luis Muzik: I’m a collector. I like to collect rare and personal items.
What’s one thing you have learned or discovered while being in the indie music scene/industry?
Luis Muzik: I’ve learned not everything comes out how you imagine, but it comes out even better than expected.
What can we expect from you in the future?
Luis Muzik: More music, more shows, more traveling.
