Tell us about yourself and your music.
I go by the name Faith Elle and I’m an RnB/Soul recording artist from North Carolina. I think that when it comes to my voice, I have my own sound and I love the idea of that.
How would you describe your sound?
I would describe my sound as soulful RnB music!
Talk about the experience making your song/mixtape.
The making of my mixtape “Spring Fling: Volume 1” was a learning experience! I was able to play with different sounds and styles and just discover what works best for me as an artist!
What are you currently working on? Any new projects? Shows?
Well I’ve been very busy promoting the release of my latest single/video, “Kissin On My Tummy,” which is featured on my mixtape, but I am working on releasing a new music video every month, as well as putting together an official EP and a “Spring Fling: Volume 2” mixtape, all set to be released in 2017! It’s going to be exciting! As far as live shows, I encourage all the readers to follow my social media, as I will be releasing new show dates very soon.
What has been your biggest highlight in your music career this far?
Definitely the release of the “Kissin On My Tummy” music video! I’ve heard so many great things from so many different people! It’s so nice to know that a lot of people actually support me and are really diggin my video, that’s just so dope! I’m excited to release another video too because the next one will be much more intricate!
Name your ideal collaboration: mainstream or independent artist(s).
I would love to do a song with Janet Jackson and/or Lewis Lymon featuring The Teenagers! The history behind these legendary acts and their music has inspired me so much! I would be honored to work with them.
Name something random that people do not know about you.
I used to play basketball in high-school, and I’m still pretty good! Anyone up for a challenge?! (laughs)
What’s one thing you have learned or discovered while being in the indie music scene/industry?
It’s important to remain humble. Being humble helps you to keep a certain idea of structure in your life. Pride comes before the fall.
What can we expect from you in the future?
Definitely more radio play, radio interviews, and live shows! I’m so looking forward to debuting my live music set! I have so many ideas for my live music set and I’m starting rehearsals now to ensure that my shows are entertaining, intricate, and unique!
