Tell us about yourself and your music.
My name is Tybiaas Bethea. I go by the name BIAS. I am 26 years old. I’m from a small town in South Carolina named Dillon. I am currently living in Greenville, Sc for the past 7 years. My music is fun and interesting in my opinion with a lot of potential. Clubbish and sometimes smooth and emotional. I think I have a unique sound which is key in the music industry.
How would you describe your sound?
My music is touching. The type you can ride and vibe to. I have a new approach which to me is my real self. My two latest songs are Remember and Whatever You Want. These are the tracks of a new beginning for my career. I try to have a professional sound with lyrics that are easy on the ears.
Talk about the experience making your song/mixtape.
I’m currently working on a mixtape due late next year. Not sure of an exact date yet but, its coming. When I make songs, I try to make them off of actual events or highlights in my life. Also, I try to make it detailed to the best of my ability so that the listener can feel what I feel.
What are you currently working on? Any new projects? Shows?
I just recently released my latest project called Remember. Its about this girl back in high school that I had the hardest time gaining her attention. She was more into the popular guys so, I had to take the back seat and wait because I was too shy to speak up. Check it out! I don’t have any shows coming up as of right now but, stay tuned.
What has been your biggest highlight in your music career this far?
So far my biggest highlight in my career is being on Unity Fm 90.5 St. Lucia in the United Kingdom. It was a great experience and wish I have more opportunities like that in the near future.
Name your ideal collaboration: mainstream or independent artist(s).
My ideal artists are Drake, Tory Lanez, PartyNextDoor, PnB Rock, and The Weeknd. I love their style of music. It motivates me to be better with my music by studying their styles and kinda mixing them together.
Name something random that people do not know about you.
Something random about me is I’m very creative and talented. I like to draw, bowl, and do extreme things like sky diving. Also I like exotic pets and is currently looking to purchase a Caracal cat.
What’s one thing you have learned or discovered while being in the indie music scene/industry?
One thing I’ve noticed about the music industry is how many talented artists there are in the world. Also, being successful in the music industry isn’t an easy task to accomplish.
What can we expect from you in the future?
In the future, you can expect quality lyrics and great music. I will try to have a couple of shows under my belt if god blesses me with an opportunity to.
