Spotlight Interview: Atzec Flow (@Atzec_Flow)

Meet Atzec Flow, a young artist who is one his way to being a household name. His music is simply good and he is learning the craft with one song at a time. He’s more than just a rap artist, but is a producer and audio engineer. To top it off, he does graphic design too. What can’t Aztec Flow do? While he is out promoting his upcoming music and project, The Konquest, his fan base is steady increasing. He can add PurpleBars to that list. We recently did an interview with Aztec Flow about his upbringing, upcoming plans, and what’s next for him. Peep it below.
Tell us about yourself and your music.
Well I’m a vocalist, producer and audio engineer, but I also do a lil’ Graphic Design as well. I’m 20 years old and I’ve been rapping since 2011. I love music and Hip Hop and have always since I heard 2pac’s “California Love”.
I always remembered reciting the lyrics and also learning how to deliver my vocals properly. That’s what sparked me to start writing my own content and led me towards music as a career.
How would you describe your sound?
I would describe it as versatile, it can be anything from 90s, to grunge DMX, to Trap or any style. I love creating and making new things which can take my music in any direction since I produce the music myself. It gives the listener something fresh and exciting to listen to.
Talk about the experience making your song/mixtape.
Well while making my first album “The Konquest” it was incredibly hard, it took alot of energy, time & money. It was well worth it because I created something special. I produced, mixed and did the Graphics on the album myself but I did most of it on my own! I did have support though, I probably would have lost my mind if I didn’t have my girlfriend supporting my dreams. Also my homie Capital P. came through and mastered the tracks and finished off something special.
What are you currently working on? Any new projects? Shows?
Yes! I always have something going on, I started planning for my Ep at the end of December 2016, so everybody should be on the look out for “Blacklisted”.
What has been your biggest highlight in your music career this far?
I’d say doing my first professional music video with Rahjconkas and LPS Productions. Another highlight was getting some radio play worldwide, doing some shows, having people coming up to me and saying they enjoy my music and becoming a new fan.
Name your ideal collaboration: mainstream or independent artist(s).
It would probably be Logic. I love everything he brings. Not only just the music but the vibe he sets. He’s all about positivity and so am I, even though I have a few eyebrow raising songs (laughs).
Name something random that people do not know about you.
Not many people know I’m a boss when it comes to cooking, I love my food and I really enjoy cooking!
What ís one thing you have learned or discovered while being in the indie music scene/industry?
One thing I’ve learned is connections are everything, knowing people is very important! Promotion is one of the most important aspects in the music industry. Just because you make a dope track doesn’t mean your track is going to become a hit because a lot more goes into it.
What can we expect from you in the future?
Way more projects coming up, shows and some pretty insane collaborations. Just know that you can expect a lot more from me.
Anything else you would like to share with our readers?
You can purchase my latest album “The Konquest” on all digital stores like, iTunes, Google Play, Amazon, etc. A lot of hard work has gone into my music and all I hope for is that people enjoy my music and they share it with their friends and family.
