This young singer-songwriter and producer is making moves and you should know all about him. Meet, Smith St., the aspiring artist who has experienced with different genres, but he is pursuing hip hop/ R&B. We aren’t sure if this is Smith St.’s official debut; however, his newly released joint, “Puff Puff” is a banger.
The mellow jam can serve as another R&B track for the ladies as Smith St. coons over the slick, finger-snapping-bass-booming beat. “Puff Puff” takes a references from Adina Howard’s sultry 1995 hit, “Freak Like Me.” To music heads, we instantly hear that in Smith St.’s lyrics and that’s too dope. He sings, “So I can get high all through the day until the dawn/ and we can puff puff all through the night until the morn’/ and we can take a ride all through the hood on the gangsta lean/ and we can puff puff anytime of day,” which piggybacks Adina’s “‘Cause I will be a freak/ until the day until the dawn” (you know the rest).
