Check it out below.
Tell us about yourself and your music.
I’m pretty much a child of the universe. Free spirited but grounded all in one breath.
My music can’t be defined in one thing. It’s like a touch of A Tribe Called Quest, John Coltrane, Nirvana and EDM.
How would you describe your sound?
My sound and focus is hip hop retro and EDM.
Talk about the experience making your mixtapes.
Making my 80z mix was a combination of influences. My experience growing up in the belly of the east and a special person by the name of Ashley Noise who influences some of my musical inspiration.
What are you currently working on? Any new projects? Shows?
I’m currently focused on my NiceL$ project. Mixing and writing and Producing for upcoming artists. I’m also working on a project with Pieces Of Elle and something for Netflix.
What has been your biggest highlight in your career this far?
Being featured in popular media outlets such as The Source and Ebony. Collaborating with Cross Colours on my Bee Dope line so many highlights within my journey. I would be here all day.
Name your ideal collaboration: mainstream or independent artist(s).
My ideal collaborations would include artists who are alive and no longer here. I would say. Tupac, Andre 3000, Frank Ocean, The Internet, The Chainsmokers those are some of my top.
Name something random that people do not know about you.
I’m a hopeless romantic and I love the movie the Notebook I drop a tear everytime I see it (laughs).
What’s one thing you have learned or discovered while being in the indie music scene/industry?
The Industry in itself is a beast. You have to have business savvy in anything you do. Education is key.
What can we expect from you in the future?
Just expect creativity and amazing projects in Music, Fashion and Film. I’m happy with the way things are going and very happy with the future.
Anything else you would like to share with our readers?
Learn as much as you can in this world. If you fall down pick yourself back up. If I can move forward through all the adversities I’ve been through anyone can.
