Tell us about yourself and your music.
My name is Chris Millz aka Mr Milly. I am a North Carolina Hip Hop Artist based in Raleigh,NC. I’ve been involved in music since the age of 13 and started taking the music business serious around 23. My music is heavily influenced by street life, Southern Soul and life’s day to day reality of surviving in America as a black man. The music is a reflection of the times I was in or currently in at the moment, try to keep it simple and honest so my listeners learn to grow with my music and me as a man.

How would you describe your sound?
I’m some what of a Hybrid rapper so to say, I can give the situation Sauce , Substance, Bars, or a little storytelling. I think that comes from having the blessing of experiencing hip hop in its golden days and purest moments. I love what music has evolved into as well but it try to combine then and now.

Talk about the experience making your song/mixtape.
I usually create off spare of the moment feeling and how the beat makes me feel at the time. I find a topic or subject and just go in from my prospective, usually starts with a dope hook.

What are you currently working on? Any new projects? Shows?
I’m currently working on a few projects with different producers , but the first release of 2017 will be “Politic$ & Paper” which is a 6 song ep. I will be having dates for release and pop up shows as well, will keep everyone updated plus my social media.

What has been your biggest highlight in your music career this far?
Being able to work with a legend I always looked up to in the rap game just being fan and finally getting to meet and work with them. Most importantly they respect me as a artist and made opportunities for me to eat in this game which is much respect!
Name your ideal collaboration: mainstream or independent artist(s).
King Mez , Ricco Barrino , King Lazarus , Chance the Rapper , Quavo , Bruno Mars  on some DJ Khaled shit lol for real doe but that would be dope. Those are independent Carolina artist and some artist I admire in the game at the moment.

Name something random that people do not know about you.
I used to be a Child DJ around 13 -17 years old
What’s one thing you have learned or discovered while being in the indie music scene/industry?
It takes day in and day out work and patience to make it in this game. You have to work twice as hard as you could imagine and never get comfortable because your as big as your last hit.
What can we expect from you in the future?
Major Success behind and in front of the camera! Look out for “Politic$ & Paper” by Chris Millz
