The EP “What I Want” is all about JOMO.  He’s being honest in every song in the EP which is refreshing to hear. I’m not surprised that “What I Want” is on a movie like “Battle Scars”. It’s a tough movie and “What I Want” is a tough song. “Jersey Strong” is interesting because it has a repetitive distorted sound but is catchy in it’s own way. This song and “Cocky” and “Lala” all have beats that I can hear Tyler, The Creator rapper on but his flow on it reminds me of 50 Cent. “Clap”, “Wanna Be Freak”, and ” I’m SO Ole’ School” all have that G-Unit vibe to them as well, especially because of the beats. The final track, “25 to Life”, has that Method Man style to it. JOMO’s throwback sound and repetitive sounds in his music definitely make him unique in the game right now. If you’re a traditional hip hop fan you will definitely appreciate JOMO’s music.
