Nick Cannon and Brittany Bell’s son, Golden Cannon, kicked off the new school year as a second-grade student earlier this week. The youngster, who is only 5 years old, posed for pictures before heading off to his first day of class.

“Yesterday was the first day of 2ND GRADE for MR. GOLDEN CANNON,” Nick told his social media fans on Tuesday (Aug. 30). “And he’s only 5 years old,” the proud father doted. “Congratulations Champ,” Nick wrote to his son. “I can’t take none (sic) of the credit, though! He gets his genius from his Mamma!”

Golden is Nick Cannon and Brittany Bell’s oldest child together. The celebrity parents also have a daughter named Powerful Queen whom they welcomed just in time for Christmas in 2020. Nick and Brittany announced their expectancy of baby number three a few days ago. “Time stopped and this happened,” Nick told his social media fans.

Some scrutinized Nick for seemingly having children back-to-back. The celebrity father, however, celebrated his and Brittany’s expectancy with behind-the-scenes footage of what appeared to be a maternity shoot. “One thing Nick [is] gonna (sic) do is show up to the maternity shoot,” one social media fan said. “Do you use the same photographer each time,” another Instagram follower asked.

Golden will have the opportunity to show his younger sibling the ropes soon enough. For now, the youngster is enjoying school and hoping to become a scientist one day. “He’s going to be advanced just like you, Nicholas,” one social media follower declared. “Was he in kindergarten at 3 or did he skip a grade? Either way that’s impressive,” another fan said.

Golden began first grade as a 4-year-old kid last year. The youngster was able to read at just 3 years old, thanks to his mom and dad encouraging him to strive for greatness in education. Nick Cannon and Brittany Bell’s third child will make him a father for the ninth time.
